Responsibilities
As a Mobile Electronics Technician, you’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telematics devices and mobile electronics systems across large fleets and specialized equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing and configuring telematics devices, GPS tracking systems, dash cams, and other mobile electronics in fleet vehicles (12–48V systems), including trucks, construction equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electronic systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with technical standards.
- Collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of large fleet rollouts.
- Performing quality checks on installations and repairs to meet safety and operational specifications.
- Maintaining proper documentation of installations, repairs, and inspections for client and internal records.
- Traveling to client locations as needed, providing on-site installation and support.

Key Competencies and Qualifications
We’re seeking a motivated professional with the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in mobile electronics installation, including telematics systems (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of vehicle and equipment electrical systems (12V–48V).
- Familiarity with construction and industrial equipment electronics is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in using tools such as multimeters, crimpers, wire strippers, soldering irons, and diagnostic software.
- Familiarity with CAN bus systems, OBD-II, and other vehicle communication protocols is a strong asset.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Certifications such as MECP or equivalent are an asset.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
